"nicely done"

date: July 23, 2008

first: the EQing does it perfectly, nice work there, i knida understand what the guy below me meant with "Reverb".. i think the Drums are somewhat not cut short enough or something.. Cut down Sustain a bit maybe.. but this is personal habbit i think. What i ABSOLUTELY didn't like was this one Snare-like sound, it reminded me somewhat of a "metronome" i had back in Piano-Classes.. sounds like the Tick in Reason a bit.
and one last critic.. the harmony between the Beats and the Instruments and Pads doesn't really work IMO.. The Atmo is very tragic and slow paced and suddenly there comes this fast-paced, overpitched and holded Drumsequence which is (and therefore i like the tune) absolutely wiiiickeeeeeeed!!
You did a really good job an frickelin' those Beats together, the whole way to the climax is well done (at around 1:30) but then the Breakdown totally ruins it, since there is nothing that kinda "holds" against the Drum-overload.. you know what i mean? maybe a fast-paced syncopic Synthline or something like that.
Anyway, nice work!!!

Author's Response:

I hear exactly what you're talking about during the breakdown. I was just doing the drums myself and added a reese over the very end. Though in all honesty I was still very impressed with the way that Cymbal:symbol handled the music. But there is definately more than could have been done. The reverb on the drums i'm figuring out is due to the highs. The hats and crashes aren't set to cut as soon as they are untriggered. If you send me a private message I can email you the reason file so you can take a look at it.

"nice atmo"

date: December 10, 2007

again, have to say: really nice atmo there, should be perfect when u drive the Metro and exit the tunnels after several minutes to hit daylight again up the stairs : D
Reminded me in some way of "Simon V", he also does kickass deep atmo in some tunes. keep it up, Noisia is the limit :D :D

Like this very much more, very clean producing, allthough i think the drums which come in at 0.43 are a bit domminating.. leave them out maybe...

Orignial style, add some tweaks and it be perfect ^^

PS: I love ur Pad-Chopping at the end, fits perfect with bass ^^
